PAINTING OF THE MONTH
Our Painting of the Month competition is held January thru May and again in September & October.

The competition is divided into two separate divisions.
SIGNATURE STATUS & NON-SIGNATURE STATUS
​
Winners are chosen from paintings brought into our monthly meetings.
Prizes are awarded for 1st Place winners in each division.
All first place winners are eligible to compete for the Painting of the Year in November.
Guidelines:

Only current SWA members may enter the Painting of the Month competition.

Only current SWA members in attendance may vote for winners.

Painting do not need to be framed. However they should at least be matted.

Artwork does not have to be from an original source but must be solely painted by the artist.(Workshop / Classwork pieces are okay.)

Artwork cannot have been accepted into a previous SWA exhibition.

There must be at least 2 paintings entered or competition will be cancelled for the month.

Once an artist wins 1st place, he/she may not enter for the remainder of the year, except for the Painting of the Year competition. All 1st place winners will be invited to bring their winning artwork back to the November meeting for the members to vote of Painting of the Year.
